It was immediately clear to us that the sand track race for juniors cannot take place without an emergency doctor.
On Saturday, June 17, 2023, the 27th Sandbahnrennen for juniors took place in Hechthausen at the Waldstadion. The youngest participants, who raced over the sand track at up to 60 km/h, were just 6 years old. In the background, the emergency doctor provided by the Reanima® Help foundation ensured a good feeling in case "something" should happen.
Sabrina and Jens Buchberger - organizers of the motorcycle race wanted to ensure an emergency doctor for the health care of the participants instead of the prescribed doctor and turned to the foundation "Reanima® Help" with this request. It was immediately clear to us that this event with coverage by an emergency doctor represents high-quality care for the participants and means an increase in safety for all involved.
The review by our board of directors took place at short notice. Thus, it was decided that the Foundation will sponsor an emergency doctor to attend the event. The sponsorship caused enthusiasm not only among the organizers, but also among the young participants and their parents. The deployed emergency doctor, Sven Kues, not only provided medical cover but also ensured that the helmets were worn correctly before each race run.
